Renewing or getting a new IC, passport, or Visa in Singapore will often require a passport-size photo. As I explore the options to take a passport or visa photo, this post serves as a summary where you can get a passport-size photo.
You can always visit a nearby shopping mall in Singapore to find a printing shop for a quick passport photo which probably takes time to develop the film. So plan early and don’t wait until the last minute to take the photo. For urgent needs, instant photo booth machine is the top option for getting IC or passport photos.
ID/Passport Photo Booth in Singapore
The quickest way is to take instant passport photos; you can find those passport photo booth locations here:
- Jurong Entertainment Centre
- Clark Quay MRT
- Dhoby Ghaut MRT (beside 711)
- Downtown MRT station (beside DBS ATM machine)
- Simei MRT
- Ubi MRT Station
- Photo-Me Photo ID Booth at Ang Mo Kio
- 3 Central Blvd
- ID Photo Booth at 90 Hougang Ave 10
- Admiralty Rd
- 304 Orchard Rd (B1-107)
Various options are available at ICA if you live nearby or pass by.
Note: make sure the booth or photo shop prints out the right sized photo for your passport or ID. For example, US visa application requires a different size picture to the standard format from one required for Europe. So, read the requirement, especially for visa photo, careful before you go take the photo.
IC / Passport Photo Mobile App
If you have a color printer at home and the paper to print the IC/passport photo, you can try mobile apps and do it at home.
This IC Photo mobile app is created by a Singapore company with a good rating on app store. Additional apps for iOS you can explore include Passport Photo and Passport Photo Booth. I wouldn’t recommend mobile app options unless you only need the digital version of the IC or passport photos as it’s quite time-consuming.
